Introducing Diana Adams, a Graphic Designer with a unique journey. Diana began her career in art education, and has transitioned through various roles, including healthcare and management. However, her passion has always belonged to the creative realm, so she recently returned to SCSU to pursue her degree in Graphic Design. Diana’s unique perspective has allowed her to adapt her experiences and skillset to all different types of projects and design challenges and brings authenticity to her work. 

Klevis had been interested in art & design ever since he was young, but it was during his college years that he decided to pursue graphic design as his career. He enjoys working on brand identity and packaging the most, and he is interested in UI/UX design. At Southern, Klevis has cultivated a robust skill set and acquired invaluable insights into the nuances of graphic design providing him with the tools, and techniques, necessary to thrive in this ever-evolving field.

Sarah’s journey with graphic design started out with lots of uncertainty. She had developed a natural aptitude for arts, but was always unsure of her future aspirations.

Unconfident in what she wanted, Sarah enrolled in school as a marketing major. She was drawn to the psychological and creative aspects of advertising but often found that classes rarely ever fueled that spark for her.

It wasn’t until upon doing further research did she realize that graphic design checked all of those boxes. She switched her academic focus to a graphic design major with a minor in marketing and has loved it ever since.

With her time at Southern, Sarah has grown a strong foundation in brand identity design and social media marketing. Thanks to her close bonds with professors and the amazing opportunities at Southern, she’s been able to grab hold of countless job and life chances.

As a designer, she hopes to continue to grow and fuel that passion she has for creating.

 Sofia's passion for art ignited when she uncovered its profound ability to inspire and forge emotional bonds with people. Her journey began in high school, where she first encountered Graphic Design, instantly captivated by its ability to manifest creativity in the online realm. Throughout her studies, she discovered her forte lay in Branding and Logo creation, relishing the process of crafting designs that resonate deeply. Alongside, she nurtures a keen interest in Poster design and Infographics, envisioning a future where she leverages her acquired skills to continuously evolve as a versatile Designer.  

Hannah's fascination with art sparked at a young age and only grew stronger over the years. Her knack for drawing and illustration shone brightly during her high school days. This passion eventually led her to explore graphic design in college, where she honed her skills in color theory and balance. Today, she thrives in the realms of brand identity design and social media marketing, all while continuing to expand her knowledge and skills in graphic design. 

 Matthew has had an affinity for art and design from a young age, and taking a high school course on graphic design inspired him to pursue a career in the field. His studies at Stonehill College and Southern Connecticut State University have instilled in him the fundamentals of design, proficiency with the industry-standard tools and technology, and the drive to keep improving in the field of graphic design as it continues to evolve. Matthew has extensive experience in print and branding design, but aims to specialize in motion design through animating with Adobe After Effects. 

Ever since they were little, Helena has always wanted to become an artist. Creating original characters and stories, they developed a passion to one day publish graphic novels to the world. Despite their ever-growing passion, they were uncertain whether they would be successful in an art focused career path.
  

Thus, Helena enrolled into Southern as a Healthcare Studies major, only thinking it would be beneficial for them. It wasn’t until after much contemplation that they switched to the art field after realizing they couldn’t leave behind their true dream of becoming a graphic novelist. 

Today, Helena continues their education as a Graphic Design major to gain insight on the field, as well as minoring in Creative Writing to further develop their storytelling skills.  

Bayley has always been surrounded by graphic design. It's something that has stuck with him for as long as he can remember. When he was born, his parents started an at-home design business, and he has been witnessing their creative process for the last 21 years. Now, he hones his own craft and shares his ideas with his fellow students to help and grow with them. He heavily enjoys making logos and posters with elements that come off as very eye-catching and intricate. His goal is to fill his environment with as many pleasing designs as possible, and even inspire others to do the same.

Nicolas Mattarelli is a graphic designer whose work speaks to his interpretation of color relations, style of typography, and the placement of images, all of which create works that are both captivating and often informative. His process of creating graphic design works from concept to completion revolves around my ability to understand the subject matter and how far he can go to create something that anyone can immerse themselves into.
